Razorback Hockey!

Ok, so who knew about this and didn't tell me? I'm really pumped up about this. I guess the SEC is getting into collegiate hockey? How cool (get it) is that? Check it out for yourselves at Razorback Hockey website, and Go Hogs!

Free DP anyone?

You thirsty? Well you're in luck. In less than two days, the new G n' R album will be released. Along with that, Dr. Pepper will be honoring a promise it made that the company would offer a free soda if the new album, "Chinese Democracy" made a 2008 release date. Well, G n' R came through and DP is standing by it's promise. You can read more about the promise here.

Dallas Bike Show

Been quite a while since my last update since Beth has been doing a wonderful job with "The Pittman Post", but I thought it's about time for one.

This past weekend was a good one, I got to attend the Cycle World International Bike Show down in Dallas. Drove down there with my buddy Coleman and we hooked up with Keven Sticher before heading to the show. Many thanks to Keven and his new wife Becky for letting us crash at their place.

Here are some pics from the show.....

The KTM RC8. What an awesome bike. The sharp edges really make this bike stand out.

So which one should I pick????? Sometime is just soooo hard to decide. Ducati or Buell?

And these bikes from Roland Sands were something to behold. I'd seen these bikes in magazines and on TV, but getting to see them in person was unexpected treat.

I'm not the only one thinking of a new machine....

Some serious gears turning in those heads.

None of this would be possible if it weren't for my wonderful wife letting me go. Thanks Beth!

Lil Steeler!!!

Tonight was a good night. I got to spend a little time with the kiddos while mommy got to go out with the girls. I have to admit, I didn't do it alone as I had some help from Meme and Aunt Nana, thanks ladies!

As the night went on, Kate went to bed and Meme and Aunt Nana headed home, this left some time for Luke and I to have a little father son time. What better time to introduce him to the greatest football team of all times, the Pittsburgh Steelers. Check him out, he's a pretty good lookin Steeler fan don't ya think?

Moon Daddy, moon!

So Kate and I have started a new nighttime ritual this past couple of weeks. We do a little dinner, a little Monster's Inc., bath time and now we sit out on the back deck and look at the stars and the moon (weather permitting). She loves it. She likes to say the "Star Light, Star Bright' nursery rhyme and she's getting pretty good at it. I'll have to get it on video one of these days. So we just take it all in, she likes to point out all the stars to me and even catch a plane or two passing by. When it's time to call it a night......"I wuv you moon, I wuv you stars" and it's off to bed.

Week 3 is it?
Well, as it turns out, I'm not much of a blogger. TOUCHDOWN STEELERS!!!! The just scored.

Anyway, what an awesome week. Just wrapped up Bikes, Blues and BBQ 2008. You just can't beat a nice bike rally in your own back yard. Here's a nice shot from Hog Haus Brewery on Dickson.

TOUCHDOWN STEELERS! Fumble returned for a TD!!!!!

Good times test riding bikes on Thursday, doing some people watching on Friday and taking in the Parade of Power on Sat. Got to spend some quality time with old friends, new friends and family. Even got to take my Sister-in-law Kim down to Dickson on the Road King. I think she's into motorcycles.

But all things must come to and end and so BBB is over this year. Already looking forward to next year's event and hoping that just maybe, another bike rally or two (Sturgis & ROT) are in my near future.

Well, gonna head out and root on those Steelers.

Until my next blog........

Week1

Well, here I go. Gonna take a stab at blogging. I have no idea as to what I'll be blogging about other than what's going on in my little world. So bare with me.

This is Kate, my little girl who's about to turn two in Oct. Don't let the little miss innocent look fool ya, she's a fire cracker!!!!

Kate is now a big sissy with the addition of Luke to our household. Luke will be 3 months old in a few days and I gotta tell ya, he's a pretty laid back kiddo.

So, Kate, Luke, my beautiful wife Beth and myself make up the Pittman family. Check back soon for more updates.
